Crisis Response Team
The Crisis Management Response Team (CMRT) is a specialized unit within WePlanBefore, responsible for executing the crisis management plan during critical incidents. This expert team supports organizations with immediate, structured, and effective actions in the face of disruption—ensuring coordination, control, and rapid response when it matters most.
The CMRT is activated to assess the situation, support leadership in critical decision-making, manage stakeholder communication, and coordinate both the incident response and recovery efforts. Their role includes initiating a preliminary impact analysis, identifying escalation points, and working closely with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery teams to align operational recovery with strategic priorities.
In addition to real-time crisis coordination, the CMRT ensures that the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is activated appropriately and that Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols are implemented where needed—minimizing downtime, protecting critical assets, and facilitating a return to essential operations as quickly as possible.
Our goal is to mitigate the impact of the crisis on the organization, its employees, and its customers, while maintaining trust, transparency, and operational stability. Preparation, clear roles, and ongoing training are key to the CMRT’s ability to perform under pressure, making it a central pillar of any resilient governance structure.
How do we do?
- Executive Support & Strategic Decision Facilitation: The CMRT provides real-time support to executive leadership, offering clear situational updates, impact analysis, and decision-making frameworks. We ensure alignment between crisis actions and organizational objectives under pressure.
- Regulatory Communication & Action Logging: We coordinate communication with regulatory bodies, ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent updates when required. All actions are formally documented through situation reports, incident logs, and decision registers, supporting auditability and post-event analysis.
- Integration with Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: We collaborate closely with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery teams to ensure alignment between strategic response and operational recovery. This integration enables a coordinated return to essential functions with minimal disruption.
- Post-Crisis Review & Continuous Improvement: Once stability is restored, the CMRT leads the post-crisis assessment process, identifying lessons learned, gaps in response, and opportunities to strengthen resilience. We support after-action reviews, debriefings, and the update of crisis and continuity plans.
